My name is Siân Marland and I have been a trustee of the Friends of Bangor Garth Pier since 2021 and treasurer since 2022. I have lived in Bangor my whole life as has my mother’s side of the family. My background is in banking where I have worked for over 40 years and am still working. I have previously been treasurer of Ysgol Feithrin Penrhosgarnedd and Bangor Swimming Club. I have been visiting the pier my whole life, and I remember the planks being much further apart as a young child! I feel strongly that the pier is important to Bangor and its people and am proud to be a trustee.
