Stay at The Pier Master’s House

BANGOR GARTH PIER

The Pier Master’s House

The historic Pier Master’s House next to Bangor’s Garth Pier has been fully refurbished and is now ready to welcome guests offering some of the best views in North Wales, with all proceeds going towards securing the future of the pier. The three-bedroom property, which sleeps up to six people, has been completely refurbished throughout, blending its historic character with modern comforts to create a high-quality and memorable stay in a truly unique setting. With no external changes, the character of the historic building and its setting have been preserved.

The Pier Master’s House itself is steeped in history and predates the pier. Originally associated with the ferry crossing that once operated between Bangor and Anglesey, the building later became part of the pier’s operation following its construction in 1896. Positioned at the entrance to the iconic Victorian structure, it enjoys panoramic views across the Menai Strait towards Anglesey and the mountains of Eryri (Snowdonia), making it one of the most unique stays in the region.
