The Friends of Bangor Pier and Bangor City Council are pleased to present an exhibition celebrating 125 years of our pier, with a focus on history and local stories. It will run from March 26th until 4th June at Storiel. Entry fee is free with a donation box at the door. We are also featuring an original film reel by Monster Films, and original photography from Anglesey Drone Media Services’ Adam Milton-Barker, as well as artwork from area schools.
Said Mayor Owen Hurcum: “Bangor Pier has been a huge part of our City for well over a century and I know it is close to all our hearts. It is so exciting to have been able to put together this exhibition celebrating the stories made over the last 125 years on this icon of Bangor.”
Avril Wayte, Chair of Friends of Bangor Garth Pier added: “We are delighted to be bringing to life 125 years of history of Bangor’s most iconic structure – Garth Pier. Organised jointly by Bangor City Council and Friends of Bangor Garth Pier, the exhibition at Storiel promises to be both a vibrant exhibition and a celebration of the pier and its people.”
