A collection created exclusively for Bangor Garth Pier by Georgina Evans. The fibre art consists of two macramé wall hangings and a weave. Georgina wanted to portray the sea with her work and specifically made some pieces with Bangor Pier in mind. Georgina loves working with fibre as she believes in bringing nature into the home. Her work is suspended on driftwood foraged from the beach, which will be different each time, and, since this is a handmade product, there will be subtle differences in the final piece from the image shown. This wall hanging refers to the jellyfish Gelata Piscis, with vibrant marine colours. This large macramé wall hanging is suspended on a large driftwood. It also has a skirt to the back making the wall hanging thicker.
Reflecting the beautiful colours of the sea, this beautiful weave is woven with hand carded merino roving wool and many other different fibres such as hand spun art yarn, banana yarn, twine, and cotton cords.
Treasures of the strait wall hanging has beautiful neutral colours. This piece tries to reflect shells found on the beach, and has a lovely treasure as the central design.
